Priority seating feedback form

Metlink buses have priority seating areas for people who need extra support to have a safe and comfortable journey. This area is at the front of buses with green coloured seats.

It gives priority to people who need more space and a seat to ride the bus, including those with

  • access needs, like wheelchair users, those travelling with a disability assist dog or with a mobility impairment that makes it unsafe to stand;

  • pregnant people;

  • caregivers with young children and prams;

  • anyone feeling unwell and in need of a seat.

Our customers with access needs asked Metlink to help make it easier for them to ask for a seat and space when needed. With their support, Metlink is trialling new signs.

The trial aims to give everyone a better idea of where the priority seating area is and what we’d like them to do when sitting in this area. The signs are bigger, higher on the windows and encourage kindness and consideration.

We'd like to know what you think about raising the awareness of priority seats. Please fill out the form below or give the Contact Centre a call on 0800 801 700.
